Italian scientists tested the heart rate and oxygen intake of dancers during salsa lessons, nightclub salsa and group dance. In all dances, heart rates increased between 58 and 75 per cent and oxygen intake rose between 41 and 56 per cent.
The most aerobic dance was nightclub salsa because with this form of dance, you are clearly getting a workout.
Now, all you’ve got to do is find a decent partner!
