Look fresh from down to dusk

If you find yourself struggling to juggle work and life, you probably don’t have the luxury of running home to freshen up for a night out after work. Follow these simple steps to go from down to dusk in minutes!

Layer on your favorite scent.

PerfumeApplication

Smell fresh from morning to night by layering on different forms of your favorite fragrance. For example, shower with your fragranced shower gel or soak in a bubble bath before adding another layer of the same fragrance with a body lotion.

Save your matching Eu de toilette for a final spritz just before you head the door. But to avoid overdoing it, keep your application to several drops or just spray into the air and sorta ‘walk through’ the fragrance mist.

Keep your lips moist.

Lipstick that’s layered so it’s stays put can ironically, be difficult to keep on for too long, because it will eventually dry out, flake and clump. To counter this, keep your lips moist by applying a lip balm every 2 hours.

For a sexy touch-up after work, fill in your lips with a neutral liner and then slick on a coat of super-shiny gloss.

Bye-bye racoon eyes.

Rimming your eyes with dark colors or layering on too many shades will leave your eyes looking dirty at the end of the day. Try applying lighter shades and use a pencil liner, not eyeshadow which can ‘bleed’ and flake, to define your eyes.

For evening, touch-up with a liquid liner. Give your eyeliner a boost by thickening the lines – start from the inner corners and draw towards your outer corners. Extend the lines slightly past the outer corner of your upper eyelids for an alluring finish!

Glow, not shine.

Prone to oiliness?

Absorb excess oil on your skin with tissue or blotting paper. Next, spritz on a facial mist and blot with tissue paper if you like, to freshen up your complexion.

Blend small amounts of foundation or concealer to hide blemishes or discolorations before fixing your makeup with a light layer of pressed powder. Apply a powder blush or contour lightly if needed.

Create natural waves.

Here’s how you can have natural-looking waves without the hassle of using a curling or flat iron.

Take about half a palm-ful of gel mousse and apply to towel-dried locks. Twist your damp hair upwards and secure into a bun.

For a longer-lasting waves, twist harder. Just before heading out in the evening, release your bun and apply a shine-giving product for added gloss. Work the product through with your fingers for a sexy, just-out of bed look.
