Cos your fingers shouldn’t do all your make-up for you.

  • You don’t have to get a matched set of brushes. Though they may look pretty on your dresser, unless you are a professional make-up artist, the likelihood of your using every single brush is slim.
  • The four key brushes you’ll need: powder brush, blush brush, and two eyeshadow brushes – one the size of your fingertip and another slightly smaller for blending.
  • Look out for brushes with a curved, dome-like shape as these apply make-up more effectively.
  • Fluffy brushes made with natural bristles are the best as they give you better precision without piling on too much product.
  • Make it a point to invest in good-quality brushes as they not only last longer, they make applying make-up a pleasurable experience.
