Make your own lunch

OMG... I'm broke!

The waitress at your favorite eatery may know your order by heart; but that’s probably not good for your waistline or perhaps your wallet too.

Pack your lunch instead and you can easily help both. Making your own meal allow you to control over fat and calories. For instance, a typical take-out sandwich has about 200 calories worth of mayonnaise. While your homemade sandwich can be 50 to 100 calories if you use a tablespoon of light mayo. The cash you will save can add fast too…

But hey, always remember to change course every day if possible. If not, you’ll get bored faster than you know. Do it a few times a week and you’ll see your figure and finances will thank you for it.

My suggestions is that you can make one main course for example sandwich, wheatmeal falafel wrap, rice or salad. Then have your lunch with fruits. There you go!

According to American College of Sports Medicine, women living in San Francisco have the nicest legs in the world because they walk up the city’s many hills. The American College of  Sports Medicine  ranked the ” City by the Bay ” as the fittest in America follow by Seattle….

Well, another hilly city. Their ranking considered health indicators such as the percent of  people who met basic physical activity recommendations, obesity rates, diets, access to the health insurance, smoking rates, public transportation and the availability parks, jogging and bike trails.

So if you want sexy legs, you should move to SF or Seattle…haha…big move!

Moderate Tempo Music Provides the Best Motivation During Exercise

February 3rd, 2009

ipod

Hit any gym and you will see legions of women listening to their iPods while they exercise. Many people think that music helps them focus and get into a groove for training, but which kind of music is best and does it any good?

British scientists found that moderate tempo music helped motivate people best during moderate – intensity exercise. Most studies show that music has little effect on maximal or near-maximal exercise capacity but it might improve performance in people with movement disorders. Researchers found that listening to music increased cycling output during the first few minutes of a 10-kilometer trial. Athletes felt that the exercise was less stressful when listening to the music. They found ” tempo” music more motivating than harmony. Exercise has positive effects on the nervous system and the ability to think. Music has little effect on exercise capacity, so listen if you enjoy it and it helps motivate you to train.
